East Carolina University is the third-largest university in North Carolina, and the fastest-growing campus in the University of North Carolina system as of 2008. ECU was founded in 1907 as a teacher training school and today offers over 100 Bachelor degree areas of study. The East Carolina Pirates compete in NCAA Division FBS as a full–member of the 12 team Conference . Facilities include Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium, Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum, and Clark-LeClair Stadium. East Carolina University is an AACSB International accredited University and is ranked one of the "Best Value Colleges" by The Princeton Review in 2008.
