Located in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, the Steelers are members of the Northern Division of the American Football Conference (AFC) in the National Football League (NFL). Their three team colors represent the steel making process that fueled traditional Pittsburg economy; yellow represents coal, orange is iron ore and blue is scrap steel. Founded as the Pittsburg Pirates in 1933, the Steelers have appeared in the Super Bowl seven times and they are the only team to win 6 Super Bowls, with their last in 2009 over the Arizon Cardinals. In 2007, their heavily symbolized mascot, Steely McBeam, was created.
