The San Diego Chargers are members of the Western Division in the National Football League (NFL). Originally called the Los Angeles Chargers, the team was moved to San Diego in 1961; they currently play at Qualcomm Stadium. Although their team logo has changed in color several times, the icon of a lightning bolt and horse head within a shield has remained unchanged since the 1960s. Their team colors consist of navy, gold, Powder Blue and white. The Chargers has only competed for a Super Bowl title once; they lost to the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XXIX.
