Fleur-de-lis Flags

Fleur-de-lis Flags

France was a major seafaring competitor to Spain in the 16th Century. This was the flag of King Francis I and was carried by the early French explorers to the New World. The irises are a common symbol of a sacred bond with life. There were several variations of this design, depending on its use on land or at sea.

Fleur means flower, and lis means lily in French. Used as a decorative design or symbol, the Fleur-de-lis appears on many coat of arms.

Fleur-de-lis nylon flags have the advantage of being strong yet lightweight enabling them to dry quickly and fly even in a slight breeze.
