Sometimes, due to building codes or other circumstances, an in-ground commercial flagpole just isn't feasible. In these cases, a base mounted flagpole with a shoe base can be a good solution! Shoe Base Aluminum Flagpoles mount into a concrete pad or base using a ring that's secured to the concrete using sturdy anchor bolts.

It's recommended that shoe-base flagpoles not be installed into existing concrete surfaces like sidewalks and should be installed in a new concrete pad. Should you install a shoe-base flagpole into existing concrete, chemical anchorage or epoxy bolts are advisable. Shoe-base flagpoles are not recommended for higher elevations or for building rooftops. It's advisable to consult with an engineer of record before installation; remember to allow enough clearance for trees, power lines and buildings.

Please note: while a Shoe Base Aluminum Flagpole is strong and robust, it's 10-15% weaker than an embedded flagpole. However, the base mounted flagpole design allows you to install these commercial flagpoles in settings where an in-ground model would be impossible.
