Flagpole counterweights are attached to the bottom of a flag on an internal halyard flagpole. Flags on an internal halyard pole are connected to the halyard with a connecting link and a flag arrangement cable (link to page). The flagpole counterweight keeps the flag straight and prevents it from bunching up and flying wildly with the wind.
Our counterweights are available in three finishes and weights. 3lbs weights are recommended for poles with a 5" diameter, 7lbs weights are recommended for use for pole with 6"-8" diameters and the 14lbs. weight is recommended for poles with a diameter measuring 10" or more. Read the description tab for more details.
Counterweights keep the flags positioned straight and prevent them from bunching. The weights have attachments at the top and bottom of them. The top end is connected to the flag arrangement cable with the bottom grommet of the flag and the bottom end is connected to a retainer ring with free moving circular beads that prevents the flagpole from being damaged. The flag arrangement cable, counter weight and retainer ring work together to ensure that your flag is flying straight and does not become tangled in any of the other flagpole components. Counterweights are available in a bronze, silver or white finish and come in 3lbs, 7lbs or 14lbs sizes.
