Our Maltese Cross flagpole ornament provides a sleek finish to our indoor Majestic™ Telescopic Pole sets and Oak-Finished Jointed flagpole sets. Made of gold-plated aluminum, this flagpole topper will include a removable corresponding ferrule that will screw directly into the bottom of the Maltese Cross ornament. Complete with the original 8 points, this design is based on the crosses used since the First Crusade. It is also the present depiction of Amalfi, a small Italian republic of the 11^th century. Our Maltese Gold Cross flagpole ornament with Ferrule features 8 points on four sides, which symbolize the eight obligations or aspirations of the Knights of Malta: to live in truth, to have faith, to repent one's sins, to give proof of humility, to love justice, to be merciful, to be sincere and wholehearted and to endure persecution. Measuring 7.5" from the top to bottom of the 7/8" diameter ferrule, the Maltese cross flag pole finial will work with all indoor flagpoles we offer that include a 7/8" diameter tapered pole. This flagpole topper also measures 5 ¼" in width and height (without ferrule).
