Why Buy a 25' Tilting Shoe Base Aluminum Flagpole?
Shoe base flagpoles are a perfect choice when an in-ground commercial flagpole is not an option. The 25' Tilting Shoe Base Aluminum Flagpole can not only be flush-mounted, but it can quickly be laid on the ground by two people for maintenance or in case inclement weather is on the way. This hinged flagpole is designed to be bolted to a concrete pad or base; it features a ring welded to the flagpole base and a sturdy hinge pin.
It's recommended that shoe-base flagpoles not be installed into existing concrete surfaces like sidewalks and should be installed in a new concrete pad. Should you install a shoe-base flagpole into existing concrete, chemical anchorage or epoxy bolts are advisable. Shoe-base flagpoles are not recommended for higher elevations. It's advisable to consult with an engineer of record before installation; remember to allow enough clearance for trees, power lines and buildings.
A 25' commercial flagpole is the right fit for a one- to two-story building, and the 25' Tilting Shoe Base Aluminum Flagpole is rated for wind speeds up to 270 mph when not flying a flag. Included are a 6" gold ball ornament, single revolving truck, 50' of white polyester halyard, two snaphooks with covers, a 9" aluminum cleat and the shoe base, as well as four anchor bolts and three stainless Allen head screws for mounting.
Please note: while a Tilting Shoe Base Flagpole is strong and robust, it's actually about 85-90% as strong as an embedded flagpole. However, the flush-mounted flagpole design allows you to install these commercial flagpoles in settings where an in-ground model would be impossible.
